Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trim Carpenter to join our construction team. As a trim carpenter, you will be responsible for installing finish carpentry elements such as baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings, and other interior wood finishes in newly constructed homes.

Position & Responsibilities

  • Install interior trim, including doors, baseboards, casings, crown molding, and cabinetry.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

  • Operate power and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.

  • Ensure all work is done to a high standard of craftsmanship and in compliance with building codes.

  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to stay on schedule and meet project deadlines.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Identify and report any issues or defects to supervisors.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trim or finish carpentry.

  • Proficiency with carpentry tools and techniques.

  • Strong understanding of residential construction and finish work.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

  • Work on homes throughout the Halifax and surrounding areas.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
